Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) and Food Court Open 0600 (6AM).
Start your morning on Parris Island with a cup of Seattle’s Best coffee and breakfast at the Food Court. While you are there, visit our USMC gear area for a large selection of Official Marine Corps items.
Morning Colors at Barrow Hall (0745) 7:45AM.
Morning Colors is a long standing, time honored tradition aboard Parris Island. With the Parris Island Marine Band playing the National Anthem and other patriotic selections as the Nation’s colors are raised, you are sure to experience a moment of pride like no other. The Commanding General warmly invites you to attend this special ceremony prior to your new Marine’s graduation.
Recruit Graduation at the Peatross Parade Deck (0900-1000) 9AM-10AM.
The final ceremony establishing your Marine as one of the newest members of “the Few and the Proud”. You will want to look for the Battalion identification posted in each seating area to ensure you will be seated facing your Marine’s Battalion during the ceremony. In the event of inclement weather, graduation ceremonies will be held indoors. Changes to locations and/or times will be announced on the morning of graduation at the Douglas Visitors’ Center. New Marines will begin their post graduation leave immediately after the graduation ceremony.
Lunch Buffet at Traditions (Officer/SNCO Club) 1100-1300 (11AM-1PM).
Celebrate your new Marine’s accomplishment at this all you can eat lunch buffet with a serene lowcountry view.
