The goal of Physical Fitness is to improve the quality of life for the members of our community, and to enhance readiness through the promotion and supporting of healthy lifestyles. Group fitness classes and personal training are offered on both MCAS Beaufort or MCRD Parris Island. The Semper Fit Physical fitness program provides guidance on exercise, injury prevention and nutritional information.

Partner Dance

Belly Dance
Shimmy your way to a trim waistline with the ancient art of mesmerizing Middle Eastern dance!

Core Conditioning
A variety of exercises for your core – abdominals, low back, and obliques etc. Try one or try them all! All levels welcome!
Hydrocise
60 minutes of ultra low-impact shallow water exercise. Safe and fun for all levels (summers only).
Spin
Indoor cycling, a non-impact exercise, allows you to participate at your own level. Bring a water bottle. All levels.

Yoga classes are based on the ancient practice of Yoga that helps individuals attain one of the greatest gifts of all - good health. Personal gains (a more flexible, strengthened and toned exterior) builds self-esteem. A wellness strategy combining both health promotion and exercise through Yoga and Pilates can facilitate positive lifestyle changes for you!

Bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle and a small towel. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. No shoes needed during practice. Our classes are designed a a beginner's level approach to Yoga, and vary in styles to suit your needs.

Tri-Command Water Aerobics Class
Low impact Water Aerobics Class for Laurel Bay and Wake Village Residents at Tri-Command Community Center Pools. Classes are approximately 1 hour and include a warm-up and cool-down. Exercising in water can improve aerobic conditioning, muscular strength and flexibility. details
MCAS Water Aerobics
Come join us for a fun filled hour of Water Aerobics at the Marine Corps Air Station Pool. For Active Duty Only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1130. Muscular resistance and aerobic conditioning in shallow water to supplement your current exercise program. details
Recreational Firing
Saturdays 0800-1200. Free Instruction: Trained, professional experts are available for instruction and guidance. Range Safety Officers are on duty. Eye and ear protection equipment is available. $10 range fee includes target and frames. Discounted rates for groups of 5 or more. details
Eat Smart Move More
Eat Smart Move More is a health and fitness initiative promoted by the state of South Carolina, with national affiliation.
