| Dance Steps for Power |
Remember the disco days doing The Bump? Or Chubby Checker’s Twist? Believe it or not, these two moves can help you improve your
downswing. If you have coiled your body into a good position at the top of your backswing, then you are ready to dance!
Your first move on the downswing: BUMP your body towards the target. This will get your weight onto your left leg (right-handed golfers) and get the club moving down.
Next move: TWIST your body to the left in a circular motion. This will create tremendous clubhead speed. At the end of your swing your weight will be completely on your left leg and your right shoulder will be closer to the target than your left shoulder. And you’ll be dancing with the stars! |
