DVA DATA LOSS

This data loss could potentially affect a large number of Active, Reserve, Retired, and discharged Marines of all grades.  At this point, there is no evidence that any compromised data has been used illegally, but all Marines should be extra vigilant and carefully monitor bank statements and any statement relating to recent financial transactions.  M&RA has released a MARADMIN (MARADMIN 263)
MARADMIN 263 to get the word out to all our Marines to advise them of the potential loss of data and steps they should take to safeguard their personal information.  Additionally, Marines can visit this website  www.manpower.usmc.mil  for more information.

This information is for Marines to see if they were one of the individuals affected by this compromise.  The VA has also mailed letters to all who had personal data on the stolen laptop.
