Relocation Assistance

The Relocation Assistance Program provides assistance with PCS and EAS moves to military members and their families. They provide SITES booklets, Welcome Aboard Packages, Smooth Move Seminars, Lending Locker, Joint Command Orientation Program (JCOP) and videos of all major USMC installations. There are no fees for the services. For more information, please call 843/228-6401.

WELCOME ABOARD ORIENTATION

Welcome Aboard Orientation is held the third Wednesday of everymonth at the Officers' Club. Mandatory for all Incoming Military Personnel. Spouses and new civilian employees are strongly encouraged to attend. Come and discover what MCRD Parris Island and the Low Country community organizations have to offer while you are here. Bring the children for special treats and surprises. Complimentary lunch is provided as well as door prizes and music.

You will hear from speakers such as:

  • Navy Marine Corps Relief Society
  • Housing
  • Marine Corps Community Services
  • Safety
  • Traffic Management
  • Red Cross
  • Legal Assistance and more

WELCOME ABOARD PACKAGES provide information on all aspects of a military installation. Welcome Aboard packages can be requested for any military installation worldwide. Videos are also available on all Marine Corps installations. Welcome Aboard Packages for MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island are available for mail out.

JOINT COMMAND ORIENTATION PROGRAM is an essential information briefing. JCOP is conducted the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in building 596, room #114, to provide information to incoming military personnel and their families regarding services and facilities aboard MCAS Beaufort. There is also a tour given after the briefings of Parris Island, MCAS Beaufort, Laurel Bay and downtown Beaufort. (E-5 and below mandatory bus tour at 1300 - 1600)

Attendance is Mandatory for all incoming Military Personnel. Military family members and new civilian employees are strongly encouraged to attend. Information is provided on local community activities and base services. A complimentary lunch is provided and a drawing for prizes.

Lending Lockers

Lending Locker is designed to provide the basic essentials for a service member to set up a temporary household for 30 days. We offer futon mattresses, queen size air mattresses, pack n’ plays, dish packs, pots and pans, microwaves, televisions and much more.

The use of the Lending Locker is based on first come, first serve basis. When checking items out of the Lending Locker, you will need to bring the following:

  1. Military ID
  2. New command address and phone
  3. New residence address and phone number

Items for loan:

  • Car seats
  • High chairs
  • Pack n' Plays
  • Strollers
  • Queen & Full Size Air Mattresses
  • Toasters
  • Ironing Board
  • Irons
  • Coffee makers
  • Alarm Clocks
  • Dish Racks (dishes, silverware, etc.)
  • Pots and Pans
  • Microwaves
  • Televisions/VCR (exclusively for those with PCS orders from overseas - must present orders)
