Relocation Assistance

The Relocation Assistance Program provides assistance with PCS and EAS moves to military members and their families. They provide Welcome Aboard Briefs and Packages, Smooth Move Seminars, Lending Locker, and can provide information on all installations, including CONUS and OCONUS. There are no fees for the services. For more information, please call 843-228-6401 (MCAS) or 843-228-2371 (MCRD).

MCAS Beaufort Schedule

WELCOME ABOARD ORIENTATION is held the third Wednesday of every month at the Officers' Club on MCAS and is help quarterly on MCRD. It is mandatory for all Incoming Military Personnel. Spouses and new civilian employees are strongly encouraged to attend. Come and discover what local USMC and Low Country community organizations have to offer while you are here. Bring the children for special treats and surprises. Complimentary lunch is provided as well as door prizes.

WELCOME ABOARD PACKAGES provide information on all aspects of a military installation. Welcome Aboard packages can be requested for any military installation worldwide. Welcome Aboard Packages for MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island are also available for mail out.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for all incoming Military Personnel. Military family members and new civilian employees are strongly encouraged to attend. Information is provided on local community activities and base services. A complimentary lunch is provided and a drawing for prizes.

Less Stress with PCS!

Smooth Move Workshop provides essential information for service members and spouses. As soon as you receive PCS orders, make your reservation for this brief. Attendance by departing Military is mandatory in accordance with MCO P1700.24B.

Lending Lockers
Lending Locker is designed to provide the basic essentials for a service member to set up a temporary household for 30 days. We offer futon mattresses, queen size air mattresses, pack n’ plays, dish packs, pots and pans, microwaves, televisions and much more.

The use of the Lending Locker is based on first come, first serve basis. When checking items out of the Lending Locker, you will need to bring the following:

  1. Military ID
  2. New command address and phone
  3. New residence address and phone number

Items for loan:

• Queen, Full, & Twin Size Air Mattresses
• Car seats
• Pack n' Plays
• Toasters
• Ironing Board
• Irons
• Coffee makers
• Alarm Clocks
• Kitchen Kits (dishes, silverware, etc.)
• Pots and Pans
• Microwaves
• Vacuum Cleaners
• Televisions/VCR (exclusively for those with PCS orders from overseas - must present orders)
